Speaking about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in a recent interview with Australia’s “The Sunday Project,” Kardashian, 39, was asked if she felt “some sympathy” for the couple, who will be taking a six-week break from royal duties as they prepare to celebrate the holidays with 6-month-old son Archie.
“I think everyone has their own journey,” Kardashian said, according to News.com.au. “I think their journey is extremely personal, with — you know, what his mother [Princess Diana] experienced and how her life was so affected by the spotlight and by paparazzi.”
Diana was killed in a Paris car crash in 1997 while being chased by the paparazzi. She was 36 years old.
This fall, Meghan gave an emotional interview abut the struggles of being a new mom after getting thrown into the spotlight by marrying a member of the royal family.
She added, “I can definitely empathize with their — empathize with their need for having a secure, safe place and taking time for themselves and having privacy when they need it.”
